If you find slow burns annoying and feel that there are movies that shouldn’t be on shudder because they “aren’t scary at all”, I promise you will hate this. I loved it. I could watch that old house and those old people all day. As my mom observed, you would just never see an older man with a big shiny red nose like that starring in a movie today. Too true mother, too true. The story is actually super engaging and I even got a couple of spooks (I’m easily spooked). If you can live without blood and sudden movements for awhile it’s a swell movie.

Great atmosphere and the music/sound were on point. Minus 2 skulls because of the lame voice from the ghost kid.

I really enjoyed this movie; the acting, scenery, story. It's got that great creepy old house vibe. But there's a few real choppy scenes are a total "huh?" moment. The only other knock is the conflicting back stories. One of them is completely irrelevant but it's the main focus and again "huh?" Go with the flow on this, it'll all get explained in the end.

Really good actually, nice classic horror, not very scary, the acting and the story was really good. The sets and music were a highlight. If you want a nice slow horror to unwind to, I’d recommend this one.
