Directed by Michael Thelin

As their parents head out for a date night, the three young Thompson children immediately take to their new babysitter, Anna, who seems like a dream come true: she’s sweet, fun, and lets them do things that break all of the rules. But as Anna’s interactions with them take on a more sinister tone, the kids realize that their caretaker may not be who she claims to be, and soon it’s up to big brother Jacob to protect his siblings from the increasingly nefarious intentions of a very disturbed woman.

A young boy tries to protect his two siblings when their new baby sitter starts to reveal her psychotic nature.

Cast: Sarah Bolger, Carly Adams, Elisha Ali

This movie was actually wild. There were 2 unnecessary vile moments that made no sense for the plot and were just added to the unfortability of the movie, (trigger warning: sexually-charged content mixed with the children). I can understand those scenes if they made sense in the sick and twisted plot, but they really did not, ESPECIALLY after learning the psychology of the antagonist. Despite the poor taste in those scenes, the rest of the movie was pretty good at feeding a parent's nightmare and it was unsettling in a good way. It is a good watch, and good luck ever thinking about having children/already having children after this one.

still love this suspense film and the actress who played the babysitter who's the main villain really nailed the roll! 👍

a few cheap thrills thanks to putting child actors in uncomfortable situations but plotwise this thing just does not add up or make any sense. before writing a screenplay like this you need to have an ending in mind or you run the risk of running out of ideas like these folks clearly did.

Not great but better than watching a 1980s drive thru movie which is the only other selection that Shudder has

Pretty creepy start and then it got a little goofy. Don't really recommend
