Ten times more riveting than Kubrick's shabby attempt at directing a horror film.
It was ok. More like 2.5 skulls. First half is kind of slow but you get some good scenes of the alligator chomping people in the second half. Clearly inspired by Jaws but not even close to being as good. I would recommend if you like creature features or you want to watch something you can riff on with a group of friends.
Fun, archetypal "creature feature" with many familiar elements: the maverick hero, the attractive scientist, the bad 'uns who suffer karmic fates at the hands of the monster, wacky/colourful townsfolk, bratty kids, and a really big animal with impressive stealth capabilities.
super silly. loved it
Entertaining, better than your average, b-movie schlock!
