Really slow. No great moments. Needed to be an hour shorter. The narrative falls apart very quickly and the curse is so transparent and cheap. The leads have good chemistry but the other acting is poor. The story has no cohesiveness and the scares are not there. Not a horror or thriller. A long family tale lacking in every respect. Skip this one. Save yourself the time.
Good movie. Good story. Great soundtrack. 3 skulls and a half.
Excellent dialogue between the two leads, they're both fun and likable to watch. The movie felt like watching a modern folk tale come to life in some really fun ways.
great. slow but great.
Very impressed with this. I didn't expect an Indonesian film would doff its cap to Texas chainsaw Massacre so that took me by surprise. There is some seriously scary horror content here all the way through. The atmosphere, setting, acting and screenplay is all top notch. May need to watch it again to follow the origin story as it came a bit too thick and fast on a first viewing. But I don't mind that-this is excellent.
