Highly enjoyable to watch. Every Lovecraft adaptation i've seen before has been disappointing or too cheesy in some way but this is not the case here. From the noir look of the flick, the use of appropriate suspenseful music and serious treatment of the material genuinely seems evocative of the time and era Lovecraft first created his sci-fi/horror masterpieces. The sense of pathos is all present as is the sense of suspenseful terror . Impressive adaptation.
