Directed by Katie Aselton
Abby (Aselton), Lou (Lake Bell) and Sarah (Kate Bosworth) have had their issues recently. In a bid to reconnect with each other and soothe past grievances they head to a remote island for a relaxing weekend. However, contrary to what the girls had expected, the island is not uninhabited. Rather, a trio of male survivalists eke a living from its resources. Initially the girls are unperturbed, offering to share food with the men, who are war veterans. However, things quickly turn nasty and soon the three girls find themselves fighting for their lives as the men stalk them through the woods.
A peaceful getaway planned by three friends turns into a nightmare.
Cast: Katie Aselton, Lake Bell, Kate Bosworth
Not the best of films but truthfully I did enjoy it. The fighting scenes were a bit shit but overall not bad
I saw the negative reviews but decided to watch anyhow. Glad I did. It was a good movie. I liked it.
Took an instant dislike to the female characters which did not impress me. Not a bad concept though. Made it through, but mainly out of novelty.
Wow. Considering the three leads are normally great, and Mark Duplass is also a massive talent, how is this such a hot mess? Insultingly half-assed horror film-making at its finest. Really very poor.
