Cast: Katie Holmes, Guy Pearce, Bailee Madison
As this isn't actually directed by Del Toro, it's missing the usual feel of his other work. Not bad though, spooky atmosphere in the mnasion and the creatures are pretty neat.It feels as though another 10 or 15 minutes would've fleshed it out a bit more.
It was an okay watch, production values were good, and I really missed Guy Pearce. I can't decide who was more annoying - the kid or Katie Holmes. I'll call it a tie.
not a bad horror movie, it was actually interesting having tiny little swarms of monsters, think gremlins but less funny. the only thing that ruined it for me was the abrupt ending that was not at all worth the build up. This is a movie to watch for creature design as well as playing with the unknown well...other than that its a fun watch and dont try to look too far into it.
Great remake of the television show. Good performances from the cast, although lacks in scares!
Not the best premise. I liked the setting, but disliked all of the acting. Too much screaming and felt a little annoyed by the end of the film. Probably the worst Guillermo del Toro film I've seen.
