Kandisha

It is summer break and best friends Amélie, Bintou and Morjana hang together with the neighborhood teenagers. At night, they have fun sharing goosebumps stories and urban legends. But when Amélie is assaulted by her ex, she remembers the story of Kandisha, a powerful and vengeful demon. Afraid and upset, she summons her. The next day, her ex is found dead. The legend is true and now Kandisha is on a killing spree. The three girls will do anything to break the curse. A SHUDDER ORIGINAL.
Three childhood friends invoke the spirit of Kandisha, a vengeful creature from a Moroccan legend. The game turns into a nightmare when their loved ones tragically disappear. The young girls will then do all they can to try to counter this evil creature.

While certainly not the filmmakers’ best work (“À l'intérieur” + “Livide”), this may be their most fascinating film to date. There are unusual hiccups and general narrative clunk to sift through, but once the table-setting is finished and the scares are teed up it’s difficult to question these filmmakers or their ability to craft unique and stylish scares. Like any self-respecting horror hound, I will eagerly watch anything these directors make—regardless of genre/subgenre.
Maybe next time call the police. Also cant help but laugh at irony of wearing a Thrasher shirt.
It was a decent movie. Its shot well, the effects were really well done, the legend aspect of the film is interesting and I liked some of the Islamic mysticism in it (though it was sorely underused). The characters were annoying, I didn't really like any of them except maybe the Imam but his part was cut short and the story is extremely simple when it could've been something more. Overall its not a bad movie and its pretty short, it seems like a good movie to watch with a date.
ok plot, but they should have budgeted more for graphics. Also major plot flaw and sub par characterisation...
I love international horror films. Truly some of the best out there.
