Let Me In

Directed by Matt Reeves

Chloe Moretz (Kick-Ass) stars as Abby, a mysterious 12-year old girl, who moves next door to Owen (Kodi Smit-McPhee, The Road). Owen is a social outcast who is viciously bullied at school and in his loneliness, forms a profound bond with his new neighbor. Owen can’t help noticing that Abby is like no one he has ever met before. Not nearly as creepy as the original 2008 Swedish film entitled "Let the right one in" which was much more atmospheric and a better movie in terms of acting, atmosphere, lighting and original music. In the original movie it was alluded to that "Eli" was original male (it's in the novel)... this version lost so much of what made the 2008 movie great imo.

This remake was just as brilliant as the original! I only wish they made more films like this!

A bloody and brutal film that also raises some complicated questions about love and relationships. Terrifying more for the conclusions it draws than the vampiric content.
