An interesting take on the revenge thriller - I found this film and its discussion of social issues to be interesting. Francesca Eastwood's acting is brilliant, and its actively feminist themes are refreshing.
i love how theres a gruff voiced LA noire style detective even in this artsy film about sexual assault lol. anyway this was pretty good and made some interesting/subtle points about rape and personal trauamas (despite a slow start and some not excellent dialogue). but i did enjoy it, great cinematography/score and very strong performance from the main gal who also has a cracking pair
There are some long, realistic and quite grueling scenes of rape in this film which were upsetting to watch. The murders though are strangely unrealistic, light almost and not very cathartic. And the main character seems bizarely unmoved by the whole thing. It was definitely watchable, but the writing isnt great and the character development is not great either. It's an important subject and the film makes important points, its a shame this didnt work better as a film though.
Awesome movie, loved it, great soundtrack too.
