I saw this movie a few times. It scared me so much. The mix of characters gathered a haunted mansion with scares and extreme tension builds. With no cheap special effects makes it ever scary and creepy because it uses the fear of the unknowns wn.

This is one of the most beautiful horror movies I've ever seen. I'm a huge fan of the original book by Shirley Jackson, and this follows the book very well, and captures the creepy, cozy, and psychotic themes as well. The cinemetography is unbelievable too!

I'm going to give it five stars because of my fellow reviewers. But I've only seen the trash remake so I'm getting ready to watch now and will edit my review if it's not the 5 star I'm expecting it to be. Long live the classics cuz the remakes are ALWAYS A JOKE! I hear it stays true to the book WHICH I LOVED!!
