Directed by Na Hong Jin
In this unbelievably tense supernatural thriller, a foreigner’s mysterious appearance in a quiet, rural village causes suspicion among the locals - suspicion which quickly turns to hysteria as the townspeople begin killing each other in brutal outbursts for seemingly no reason. As the investigating officer watches his daughter fall under the same savage spell, he agrees to consult a shaman for answers - unknowingly escalating the situation into something far more dangerous.

That ending had me feeling some type of way. What a great movie!!!
Really enjoyed this movie. Tons of plot twists.
This is a really suspenseful supernatural film with a lot of comic relief, at least in the first half of the film. Yes, it's long but it's worth it, the film has almost a literary quality and I'll definitely watch it a second time. I think in considering what the film means, definitely try to appreciate that so many of the themes from the very first quote, are from the Christian Bible, and the father's "sin" may have been to believe in the wrong religion i.e. the wrong "ghost."
Great movie. The subtitling is terrible; there is a very visible change in visual quality everytime they pop up and in the beginning as the credits go along a scene, the translation of the credits is prioritized before the dialogue, bits are lost because only one line of captions pop up when translating.
Truly a horror master piece
