Found Footage 3D (2D VERSION)
Directed by Steven DeGennaro

But when the fictional evil presence from their film begins appearing in his behind-the-scenes footage, he has to figure out how to stop it, or it just may find its way into the real world. Like Scream did for slashers, FF3D takes a found-footage horror movie and populates it with people who are aware of all of the rules, tricks, and clichés of the genre. A SHUDDER EXCLUSIVE. Contains strong language, sexual scenes, violence and gore.
Six filmmakers set out to make "the first 3D found-footage horror movie", but find themselves IN a found-footage horror movie when the evil entity from their film escapes.

It's pretty naff. They do clearly understand the issues with found footage films, but the still fall into the same traps. Also a glaring Blair Witch reference and a very lame ending.
A thoroughly enjoyable found footage horror movie that knows its genre and toys with its expectations. A peek behind the veil of low-budget filmmaking and the terror of directors like Derek. A newfound interest in actor Chris O’Brien, who looks like my ex-sort-of-not-really-boyfriend Harry. Fuck you, Harry.
As a fan of found footage, this is one I truly enjoy. It's not perfect and it takes a while for the true horror to start, but it doesn't take itself too seriously and is a lot of fun.
I loved this movie. It didn't take itself to seriously and there were plenty of little homages to other horror films, one of the most obvious being the "Boomstick" comment made early in the beginning. As they are trying to work through all the tropes of found footage movies, they seem to continually fall victim to the same tropes they had just been discussing. It's not all that scary, but it is a fun little movie if you just wanna have a good laugh.
First off, I’m biased towards found footage movies. I love them. This movie obviously loves them too with how insanely meta it is. A found footage movie about the making of a found footage movie. They address all the genre tropes, but unfortunately still fall into them. Why are you filming, cheap jump scares, etc. What makes the movie work is its characters. Even Mark, an insufferable douche bag, is well portrayed by the actor. Everyone’s performances are pretty good in this movie. It’s always fun to watch actors trying to act like actors acting.
