ABCs of Death

ABCs of Death

Directed by Various

Twenty-six directors. Twenty-six ways to die. The ABCs OF DEATH is perhaps the most ambitious anthology film ever conceived with productions spanning fifteen countries and featuring segments directed by over two dozen of the world's leading talents in contemporary horror film. The project, inspired by dark tales for children, is comprised of twenty-six stories about death, each helmed by a different director assigned a letter of the alphabet. The directors were then given free rein in choosing which word they would use for their letter. Provocative, shocking, and at times funny, THE ABCs OF DEATH is the one of the most exciting and diverse visions of modern horror. Contains sexual scenes, violence and gore.

Twenty-six directors. Twenty-six ways to die.

Cast: Neil Maskell, Elisabeth Rosen, Michael Smiley, Michael Rogers

I liked the idea behind it, seeing different creators come together with their own ideas and styles BUT I wasn't impressed. Acting was terrible throughout and I think they could have come up with better ideas, too many focused on nudity which is a cop-out, more originality please. Even though I couldn't wait for it to end I did want to see what they come up with for each letter. I've heard the second one is better so I'll watch it and review.

You're more than likely going to find a short or two which stands out in your book, and forget at least 60% of the others. They aren't all terrible, but most of them do show a lack of planning or budgetting. A good handful of them are really straight forward/cliche. A couple of them seemed to have had an idea in mind already and had to try to tie the word in, super loose. The other concepts are great, for the letters given, I spent most of my viewing trying to guess what the word was going to be. I liked D, O, T, and a few others. Worth a casual watch every now and then, maybe not all in one go.

Im guessing @Bunger is a girl on girl loving male (or a lesbian, but most likely male) due to him putting thank you F and Z. Forgot to put that before. I think Q was the funniest. And F was funny but weird, some were just complete madness and all were not great, not bad. As i said.

someone put about they'd love a sequel. A sequel? To an alphabet of 26 letters? I'd love to know HOW that'd be done when it ends at Z. What, are there some extra letters that they can carry on with? 🙄 Bloody sequel. Idiot. Film was okay. Not great, not shit.
