Across the River
Directed by Lorenzo Bianchini
With the tension ratcheted up to uncomfortable levels right from the very first frame, Lorenzo Bianchini’s ACROSS THE RIVER is a supernatural nightmare guaranteed to make you squirm on the edge of your seat! When wildlife researcher Marco Contrada becomes trapped in a shambling, abandoned village deep in the Italian countryside, his presence unleashes a horrifying evil. An evil that would like nothing better than to see Marco’s guts lying in pool by his feet… once its had its fun, of course…

oh the tension!!!!! Bianchini builds the pressure and doesn't let it release.
It’s what u don’t see that drives you to madness! Made me jump a couple of times!
I enjoyed the film. It's a slow burn type with no real cliches. It mostly revolves around an uncomfortable atmosphere which we question the films narrative representation and occasional clues about the story behind the sisters. The film lacks depth about the full background of the sisters and village which you begin to speculate what kind of entities are the antagonist and what happened to the residents of the village. At least we get to follow the wildlife researcher as he is led on by the antics that disrupt his occupation; water representing the presence of the supernatural.
Can't believe anyone would vote positive for this film. Absolutely awful - dreary cinematics, lots of views of junk strewn on floors etc, SO drawn-out, with the only 'action' in the last approx. 10 minutes! Total waste of time.
Brilliant film..
