Directed by Jen Soska, Sylvia Soska
Betrayed and brutalized by her professor, medical student Mary Mason’s life takes a surprising turn as she becomes a sawbones for the local mob after she stumbles into a seedy burlesque bar. Simultaneously ‘Bloody Mary’ becomes a hit in the body-modification underground after she helps a woman become the ultimate living doll. Before long Mary finds herself becoming increasingly unhinged as the operations pile up and the surgeries begin to leave more marks on her than clientele.
After an assault, medical student Mary Mason's life spirals out of control in this contemporary cult favorite.
Cast: Katharine Isabelle, Tristan Risk, Antonio Cupo, David Lovgren
Enjoyable and different
I love this film SO much. The main actress (fun fact, its Katherine Isabelle, who starred in another great horror Ginger Snaps when she was younger) is great. The characters are interesting and youll despide the antagonist even when the lines get a bit blurred. Has an awesome feel throughout and I love the ending, ots poetic to me. Underground surgery and extreme body mods mixed with epid revenge makes for a unique, stylish, cool film.
I loved Mary.
Creepy and twisted I’m there for it 😁
I really enjoyed this movie. The only thing that felt a bit off putting was the lack of sound design. It felt like several scenes were missing ambient noises so it lacked a bit of depth.
