Anything for Jackson
Directed by Justin G. Dyck
After losing their only grandson in a car accident, grief stricken Audrey and Henry kidnap a pregnant woman with dark intentions. To perform a “Reverse Exorcism”, putting little Jackson inside her unborn child. A SHUDDER ORIGINAL.
Grief stricken grandparents kidnap a pregnant woman to perform a reverse exorcism.
Cast: Sheila McCarthy, Julian Richings, Konstantina Mantelos
ending was blunt with no explanation, started off well and went downhill halfway through which is disapointing as it had alot of potential..
A really fun watch!
This was pretty good. Creepy imagery and ominous foreshadowing. I liked the first have more then the second though... the resolution, once the character 'Ian' shows up... feels a bit rushed, rather than just chaotic. Almost like they didn't know how to end and made stuff up on the spot. Usually I'm fine with ambiguous endings but I'm iffy on this one. Maybe I'm a bit disappointed because it reminded me a bit of two movies I like better... 'A Dark Song' (2016) and the 'Bobby' segment of the anthology 'Dead of Night' (1977). Still, it's definitely worth a watch and the performances are excellent.
Firstly dont read the review from ss13 unless you like spoilers. Great acting by all and some characters so odd ball. Was thrilling and good effects with a story line that i havent seen before. Watched with spouse who also enjoyed it.
This movie caught my eye because the description seemed interesting and I am so glad I watched it! The very first thing that made me know I was going to like this movie was when the grandma was reading the script she had typed out in such a calm and sweet manner even though she had just kidnapped this woman. Really loved how even though she was doing this horrible thing she acted so kindly the entire time. Also really loved the different ghosts and how they were doomed to repeat their deaths over and over again in the house. The two surprise suicides were both really shocking, but I think it just added to what made this movie good! The ending was a bit bizarre and unexplained, but I can overlook that because the rest was so good.
