LOVED IT!
A throughly enjoyable, enriching film. This one contributes something very human to horror cinema. Even the elements that could feel odd to some—the lesbian relationship, the Hasidic community—are woven into the narrative not as gimmicks or worse, mere tokenism, but as commonplace and understandable (I especially really enjoyed the Jewish directness of Lev’s character). This all works to deliver a horror that is palpably relatable, if not in the supernatural terror, then in the fear of losing a loved one. Attachment shows that love is not possession and control, but intimacy and grace
Beautiful and heart wrenching queer drama. With some demonic possession thrown in for good measure.
I actually really enjoyed this. Worth a watch.
DEFINITELY a slow burn. Even though you think it’s coming there are no jump scares. Creepy more than scary as another reviewer stated.
