Now THIS bad boy was a 4!!! Total B grade. . . but loving it. Acting was hit and miss BUT some great performances. Some heartfelt moments didn't get in the way of the laughs and the fun backstory. Yep. This was done right!

Comedy is a bit of a stretch, there were some funny parts, but not really a comedy nor really a horror. the movie was okay but kinda lacking and dull for a majority, very off on, could have made a better short imo.

This horror-comedy is about 15% horror, 25% comedy and 60% melodrama. Movie stops dead in its tracks every other scene to have a bit of a cry about some dead character or another, none of which you’ll give two shits about, though there are some funny bits and pieces here and there. Bland, stock-standard characters; cliche dialogue; uninspired direction; acting is serviceable, not great but not bad, you know the deal. Gets an extra skull because the final “weapon” used at the end was novel and amusing, if perhaps borderline impossible in terms of anatomy and physics. Otherwise I’m likely to forget I ever even saw it.

Abhartach’s grave has a Hawthorne tree and a giant standing stone on it, not a cairn. 0/10 for historical inaccuracy. Jokes aside, fun movie. The Irish have a gift when it comes to vampires and horror comedy. Also check out Into the Dark for a more serious spooky vampire movie, or Let the Wrong One In for more excellent horror comedy.
