great suspense scary movie! 😁
Honestly one of my favorites! It’s so campy and fun! With a great and interesting plot! All the actors kill it- pure perfection!
I have always loved this film. A good example of what the slasher genre could achieve and is right up there with Scream. And all stellar cast, good writing, and excellent acting. The gore is a bit weak but that was the fault of the original distribution company cut, the original cut is currently still lost. Backstory of this movie, it was originally a spoof of slasher movies and was filmed with that in mind. You can still see the some of the hints (the killers severed hand on the head of a victim, the premise of killing virgins, the sequel bait). The studio could not comprehend the whole spoof angle and wanted a standard slasher hence the editing and then the studio decided to limit the release to video. I still would love it if they could find the edited scenes and restore the original cut that was screened at Cannes. I would love to see a real sequel to this movie but the chances are slim after the passing of Brittany Murphy.
Fun, gory an great back story!
This movie should've gotten way more love when it was released back in the day. It could've been a little gorier for my taste but still very good. Any movie with Michael Biehn is worth a watch but a slasher? Hell yes! Add in a slasher trope in reverse (if you DON'T have sex you die) and the great Candy Clark and this becomes a very good horror film.
