This is as close to a perfect visual representation of Lovecraftian/cosmic horror as I think it's possible to get.
So nuts. Yes.
Does a good job visualizing Lovecraft's story. Read the story; watch this movie. It's horror in the mind and reinterprets what my mind saw when I read the story. You don't have to understand it, since that's what would drive you mad. It just has to tweak that string in your mind that sings incomprehensible terror. That image or realization that reality is an uncaring beast of chaotic color of insanity. If you aren't into Lovecraftian horror, this movie will probably be a two or three star at best. Otherwise, it's a 5 star.
