I wasn't sure what to expect going into this, given how hard it is to adapt Lovecraft's stories to movies and Cage's varying levels of acting ability. Turns out, this movie is pretty damn good! The gore effects were suitably gruesome, and the way they used the eponymous color was well handled. Definitely worth a watch!
Beautifully drawn build-up of strangeness and how people respond to circumstances outside their understanding. Delicious effects, lovely work by Colin Stetson on the score, lots of Swedish death metal and western occult references for the nerds. I love this weird family and their misunderstanding of alpaca farming.
Visually beautiful and a great concept but I couldn't get into it for some reason.
loved it!
Save your time this movie sucks
