For a movie that's supposed to be about wrestling it's surprisingly very light on the subject. . . when the wrestling matches occur, there's barely any time to enjoy it because the movie CONSTANTLY cuts away to other characters trying to plan their escape. . . and when the movie finally spends more than 30 seconds on a fight, it's poorly shot, badly staged, horribly choreographed and flat out lazy. Each match proposes an elemental threat, but then literally nothing is done with it. The only moment a match teases something more violent (flamethrowers), the match literally ends without a fight. And don't even get me started on the cop-out "finale". A hugely misguided story that attempts to be a poor man's Green Room (albeit with wrestling instead of music) and places the wrestling in the backseat to pace-breaking dialogue and characters bickering. Steven Ogg is the best part and I liked his relationship with Ayisha Issa. Otherwise, this is just a massive missed opportunity.
