The brilliance of this movie is how it lures you into a false sense of security by making you feel part of the average neighbourhood and then immersed into a stereotypical families life. Where the unusual can be explained away and the thing of most concern is how the others within society view you.

Mostly cheesy, and not particularly deep, but does manage to hit some psychological thriller/horror points and keep aliens (for the most part) interesting. Not the worst, pretty good for an alien flick.
