If Simon Pegg had a funny/bad dream, it would be this movie. It's a bit weak here and there in the writing, but in my eyes that's totally forgivable. I genuinely hope there will be a sequel or even a show. Very entertaining, very funny and had some heart. I loved it and would recommend it to anyone who enjoys horror comedies!
such fun! I would love to see more.
Entertaining. Bi-lingual. A great comedy horror film that uses Mexican folklore and ghost humor well.
I wanted to give it 4 stars but I had to be honest, this is a fun and childish romp through a haunted house, it is full of moments of smirks and smiles but not quite laugh out loud funny throughout. I think this one could easily warrant a sequel because despite its failings I loved the chemistry of the cast and didn't regret watching it in the least. I would recommend to anyone who wants a chuckle, just don't expect uproarious laughter with this one. Jose Maria de Tavira stole the show for me, for a relatively well acted (despite its script) film, he stole the show. If you give it a chance, enjoy!
I normally abhor “Ghost Hunter” type shows, but this was great. Very amusing, but to be honest it’s not that scary.
