Its the Little Rascals killing adults in a remote cabin during winter. My jam all the way.
This is an example of how movies from the old days just don't know what they are doing. It makes me feel like a kid with their first video camera got themselves a huge buget and a cast of decent actors.
As early as was this made (1974), the subject matter of kids killing adults is pretty intense. It was well done for the time and the kids acting was solid. I agree, the slo-mo was a bit too much.
different but i suppose good for 1974.....
I first found this in a "50 movies for $10" DVD set about 20 years ago, so the image quality was extremely poor, like it always was on those things. This version is more watchable. And I'm finding it much more mean-spirited and shocking on the second viewing. It's exceptionally disturbing how young these actors truly are, and all the joy they're having while carrying out their work. And what an ending. 70's exploitation movies had no shame!
