Eaten Alive
Directed by Tobe Hooper
A crazy veteran's backwoods hotel comes complete with a hungry, hungry crocodile in Tobe Hooper's fearsome follow up to THE TEXAS CHAINSAW MASSACRE. But the killer croc's not the only horror icon in this twisted tale - Hooper also cast the original Morticia Addams, Carolyn Jones, scream queen Marilyn Burns, and future Freddy Krueger Robert Englund in supporting roles. Using a wild beast instead of a man with a chainsaw, Hooper serves up another chilling cautionary tale about pissing off the wrong folks when traveling through the wild backcountry of America.

This was SO fuckin FUN???
the lighting and a young Robert Englund are the only conceivable reasons to watch this steaming pile of filmmaking
A fun movie to watch on a Saturday afternoon. Love all the great actors in this film.
Honestly pretty decent. More about crazy people than about an alligator, but still, lots of tension and weird character acting. It looks cheap, and some scenes drag, but overall recommended
I had a lot of fun watching this movie. The director moves away from the croc just right so it's not a constant stream of goofiness. In a way, the use of the croc reminds me of Jaws in which we rarely see the shark, but get enough bits and pieces to be satisfied. The main character can make a scene drag just the littlest bit, and I wish there were a clearer tie to him being a vet. I mean, he has a swastika flag in the background, and he's not German. And Robert Englund pre-Freddie! All around, glad I picked this movie.
