A killer is on the loose in Japan. Young women are being horribly mutilated. Aki, a young woman who works as a film projectionist, is haunted by a childlike ghost. Her girlfriend Emi is a TV news reporter covering the horrible mutilations. Everyone involved has a dark secret and something evil is taking control of them. They are pawns in a game being played by forces beyond their understanding.

ok ok ok.. so the first one was super amazing... this one though not so great lol.
beautiful film very good use of darkness in photography, thematically chaotic in a good way third act drags a little overall great watch
absolutely stunning film, and a wonderful addition to the first movie. Both are hidden gems that the horror community has been sleeping on for far too long. This film feels like a David Lynch movie, but with a lot more of the gore and gonzo styling the is typical of Japan. I believe these movies were super influential in starting the Japanese horror renaissance movies (eg. Ju-On, The Ring, Pulse, etc.) from the turn of the century that the country is most known for.
Meh. You know those perfume ads you see that are artsy fartsy and after you see them you think, “WTF”? Yep. Cool soundtrack, great cinematography, but by the end I just really wanted all the characters to die quickly.
It's total garbage and the waste of film it was shot on. It made no sense what so ever. I would give it zero if it was possible!!!!
