One of the best Friday the 13th movies. Really solid kills, a great final girl, and Sack-Head Jason is adorable. Whether it's intentional or not, the scene with Ginny hiding under the bed from Jason is a comedic masterwork.
I like the mystery, they show only a little bit. The guy in the wheelchair took that machete like a champ!
Not enough board games
This is my favorite film of the franchise. I love it from the opening all the way to the end. Great introduction to a horror icon. Ginny is one of my all-time favorite final girls.
Rewatching these in order for the first time since I was a kid (80's parents were not as helicopter-like as today's iteration), and sure, these are wretched movies in so many ways, but also classic. You gotta watch this series if you are wanting to call yourself a horror aficionado. Not bad for a campy slasher, but it has everything you'd expect - no name actors, terrible dialogue, cliche scares, and yet it is enjoyable!
