Friday the 13th
Directed by Sean S. Cunningham
A group of teens is hired to clean up a children's camp that has been closed down for years after two counselors were found savagely murdered. But the killer returns to the camp to kill the teenagers one by one.
It all starts with this seminal slasher.

it's as good as jason takes manhattan
Lots of great scenes, jaw-dropper ending, but also a lack of narrative tension. The killings, creative as they are, remind one of John Carpenter's Halloween but lack a face (or rather mask) to haunt audiences' minds from start to finish. Part of the reason Friday the 13th is iconic is because we get to see more of Jason in the later films.
i love seeing that new people are finding this novie and seeing it for the first time a d not knowing the ending js awesome. Shudder rules. im now a huge horror fan, i have been denying it my whole life. long Live Joe Bob Briggs, the original and first true streamer.
This is a classic! On the way to being a horror fanatic myself, I feel everyone should always see the original! This was my first time watching the OG and it was pretty good! It had a twist ending I did not expect! On my way to watch part 2 and 3!
