God Told Me To
Directed by Larry Cohen
A cop investigates a string of murders committed by strangers who claim “God” told them to kill. But are the killers actually talking about the heavenly father? Or is someone pulling their strings? If Det. Nicholas (Tony Lo Bianco) really wants to know, he’ll have to descend into a netherworld of deranged faith and confront his own connection to a homicidal messiah with a perverse plan for the soul of mankind. Utterly original and deeply unnerving, Larry Cohen’s critically acclaimed cult classic is regularly cited as one of the greatest horror movies of all time.

☠☠☠☠ Wonderful, flashback 70's B grade horror with all the bell bottoms, platform shoes and jive talking your could ever want. The movie blurs the lines between horror and scifi with just the right mix of blood, gore, violence and sex thrown in for good measure. Definitely worth the trip down "Memory Lane."
this movie haunts me. i'm obsessed with it.
Totally unexpected. Must have blown peoples freaking minds in the 70's.
What a weird little piece of 70’s cinema. Reminds me of Possession (Andrzej Zulawski, 1981) only in the sense of the long, slow burn into deliciously ridiculous/improbably endin. Worth a watch if you have some time to kill, if for nothing else than Richard Lynch, who’s great throughout :)
Internet was being a baconaider at the end seem great
