Interesting plot, the body horror was done right in my opinion since it makes your skin crawl in some scenes. It wasn’t overly scary overall and I feel like there were some plot holes with the character’s transformations.
The film was okay! Not much suspense or horror but decent for a one time watch.
I love it! Similar to The Substance in the sense it’s vaguely scientific body horror that warns about the dangers of vanity, but that’s where the similarities end. It’s definitely its own unique film and story. The lead actress is great at playing a protagonist that’s neither completely good nor completely bad. I couldn’t help but root for her right up to the very end. It’s touches on xenophobia and racism without being too heavy handed. Many of the kills are shot in slow motion almost dreamlike sequences that I loved because it made me question for a sec if she’d actually killed them or not.
great movie
