Hail to the Deadites

Seems like it was made by someone new to documentaries, from the amateur V. O. to the editing to the problem with having a coherent flow-through storyline, but we meet a lot of interesting people with compelling or even heartbreaking stories, and it never stops being fun. Seems odd to not have more interview footage with the folks in the movies since they all sat down with the director, but that wasn't too much of an issue.

I think most people going into this are fans of the franchise, and are mainly checking this out because it’s very loosely connected to the Evil Dead. The parts with those involved in the films were ok, but the rest centered around the fans is where I lost interest. Conventions are filled with hundreds, if not thousands of, people that are super into horror movies. I would think within a fan base as large as Evil Dead’s is, there has to have been more interesting people than featured here.
