Halloween H2O

Halloween H2O

Directed by Steve Miner

Twenty years later Laurie Strode is still struggling to put her past behind her. Living under the alias “Keri Tate” in a small town with her 17-year-old son, John, she works as the head mistress of a private school. Her only confidant is Will Brennan, the school guidance counselor. Now, twenty years later, Michael Myers is suddenly back in her life with a vengeance and it's not just Laurie Strode he's after. The terror begins for a whole new generation, including Jimmy the next door neighbor, Ronny the aspiring novelist who works as the school security guard, John and his girlfriend Molly, and their friends Charlie and Sarah. When this small group of students ditch the school camping trip to have their own Halloween fun, they find that blood is thicker than water. Once again, Laurie Strode must endure another Halloween from Hell. But on the eve of its 20th anniversary, the legendary scream queen is back to put evil in its place...for good.

Really great late 90s slasher. I'm sad they abandoned this timeline (let's forget Resurrection, shall we?). I think it's a believable take on what Lauri's life would be like as an adult, and the setting and feel are perfect for a nostalgic autumn spook.
