More watchable than most other Hellraiser Sequels, but damn is it boring...totally unlikeable main character throughout. Predictable and slow story. Even a misleading poster, as Pinhead is only on screen in the epilogue, basically.

It really doesn't take much to be one of the better Hellraiser sequels. Some interesting ideas that feel half-baked. Barely any Pinhead.

This used to be spoke of as one of the better direct to video Hellraiser sequels and I just don't see it, Derrickson applies a completely misplaced christian morality to the series and completely misses the point. Not to mention yeah it's just Jacob's Ladder with Pinhead and friends.

Man, In hate this movie. I even enjoy Craig Sheffer but he's not enough to endure this. I grew up with Hellraiser so I was a fan when this was new and I loved the original, all the way to Bloodline. Then this garbage came out and completely ignored the entire formula of the franchise. I never understand why studios do this. Hellraiser seems to be the only one that said "screw the fans, let's do what WE want!" And they ruined it. I usually follow a franchise to the end but I gave up on Hellraiser after this sequel in 2000. I tried it again today, hoping I misjudged it 20 years ago, but nope. It's still horrible. It's like someone made a TV drama and stuck Pinhead into the end. I wish this director would have had his Sinister skills back when he made this.

A good movie! I enjoy the twisted allegory and the way they mess with the character's mind too, but it is his downfall too. Hellraiser is supposed to talk about how humain exploit their PHYSICAL pain to gain pleasure out of it. It felt more as if I was watching a Silent Hill movie. I don't say it's bad, it was interesting, but it's not a good Hellraiser movie.
