svg-play Trailer

Horror icons Peter Cushing and Christopher Lee race to stop a prehistoric vampire who awakens on the Trans-Siberian Express in this '70s Euro-horror classic. Cushing and Lee are rival turn-of-the-century anthropologists transporting a frozen missing link. But when the creature thaws and escapes, it unleashes a brain-scarfing spree that turns its victims into the eye-bleeding undead. Can the crafty colleagues stop this two million year old monster, hordes of zombie passengers and a psychotic Cossack officer (Telly Savalas) before terror goes off the rails?

One of the greatest stealth Lovecraft films ever made.

What's not to love! Christopher Lee, Peter Cushing, Telly Savalas, literate dialogue, deeply compelling story, some tasty gore, and excellent directing! also, for me, massively nostalgic. I wish i could give it 6 "skulls"!

Fantastic! Like Sergio Leone decided to make a horror movie mash-up of The Thing and Murder on the Orient Express with a sound track by budget Ennio Morricone. Full of 60's and 70's spaghetti western style camp and over the top bizarreness with Peter Cushing dropping a couple of genuinely funny lines yet still having some great story elements. Thoroughly recommended for something interesting and different.

I can't stop watching this. I love the setting, and actors, and it is a little spooky. It's a very cozy film to watch late at night.
