I Like Bats
Directed by Grzegorz Warchol
Katarzyna Walter stars as a happily single vampire who works in her aunt’s curio shop when not feeding on various suitors and sleazebags. But when she falls for a handsome psychiatrist, she’ll discover that no affliction is more horrific than love. It combines splashes of absurdist black comedy with jolts of old-school gothic horror for a slyly contemporary take on the female bloodsucker mythos.

An atmospheric movie that, sure, is a little cheesy in some scenes, but is deeply representative of women in society and what we go through as a species. I’m not one for slow pace, but the cinematography, style, the actress all pulled me in. It’s a solid watch. Don’t bump it for things you may not understand. Women have been told we are crazy for things we aren’t— Greek work for uterus is hysteria. It focuses on these themes.
I think that, looking at this movie as a whole, it is really good. The ending has a nice payoff.
Bat shit insane movie.
I found this enjoyable. Filled with surreal colors and a dreamlike quality. Yes its cheesy and dopey but it's a sweet little film. I can understand why some might not like it though.
Interesting is the only word that comes to mind it was OK I really do like bats myself why I watched this.
