When a locket is removed from a collapsed fire tower in the woods that entombs the rotting corpse of Johnny, a vengeful spirit spurred on by a horrific 60 year old crime, his body is resurrected and becomes hellbent on retrieving it. The undead golem hones in on the group of vacationing teens responsible for the theft and proceeds to methodically slaughter them one by one in his mission to get it back - along with anyone in his way.

This is exactly what I wanted. A slasher that follows the killer instead of survivors. It's exactly what I expected. Long drawn out walks with some killer practical effect kills. Solid film.
Becomes utterly boring and plodding after the first act, the effects are obvious and have the kills lose their steam before they finish, and the ending is another drag that brings no closure. Waste of time.

If you like watching someone walk through the woods this is the film for you.
Standard slasher flick in the spirit of Friday the 13th. The draw, or “gimmick” is this one follows the killer the entire time. It’s a neat idea, but needs more polish to the idea. Some shots of the killer walking went on a bit too long, and the ending was… interesting. Felt like a big build up for no pay off. Curious to see where this will go, if they decide to make a series out of it. Solid concept, some good bones here.
