Standard Friday the 13th style slasher flick only the camera follows the killer instead of the survivors. However, the killer’s pov is met with long drags of waiting, stalking, and walking. The ambience mostly carries the film, along with a simple slasher background story, and when the kills do come around they are some of the best a slasher film can offer. Not for everyone, but I enjoyed the building suspense, scenery, and the gruesome kills. Would recommend if you are a slasher fan and wanna know what Jason was doing behind the scenes through the perspective of Johnny.
I can’t remember the last time I was this bored during a horror movie. Most creative kill wasn’t even saved for the biggest asshole of the bunch, and the last ten minutes felt like they were there to pad out the runtime, with absolutely no payoff. Hell, two kills were off-screen, for crying out loud. It’s mostly just… walking. Just back shots of this lumbering, undead hulk of a man slowly trudging through the forest. No sense of dread EXCEPT for during those last 10 minutes and even then, like I said, there’s no pay-off. Avoid. Only saving grace was the practical effects, those were really very very good, what few there are. I just… look, I don’t like having my time wasted and this felt like just that: a big waste of my time. It’s not even so-bad-it’s-funny, it’s just BORING.
God Awful. . . . . walking, breathing, more walking, etc. Like 10 min of actual action. A borefest!
Very nice atmosphere but I can't help but feel there was more that could have been done with premise.
I liked it! Some of the gore could have been better but the kills were good!!
