Incredible film. Puts you through plenty of twists and turns with a ending that you think you'll be able to guess but you definitely cannot. Worth the watch.
Many of its lauded effects lack the punch they probably did in 1990, probably at least party thanks to its slew of imitators. The movie tips its strongest hand (the hospital scene) too early so the back third underwhelms in comparison, but it's still a trippy marriage of disparate themes with plenty to haunt you.
Absolutely incredible. I don't think words are worth using to describe it- it's an experience.
Easily the best movie on shudder at the moment
