First time seeing this, and i was so excited as it was a John Carpenter film, and he is one of my favorite directors. The movie wasn't bad, but it also wasn't good at the same time. it kinda felt like a bloomhouse movie on the same lines as the slender man movie. Acting wasn't bad, and it held my interest. However, the ending was a little confusing, but overall, it was an alright film I probably will never choose to watch again, though.

Diet, store-brand Suckerpunch. Got me on some of the jumpscares though, and I can't say it wasn't creative with the set design.

This movie gets a lot of hate but it's actually a pretty fun little movie. It looks great. The acting is fair to good. The twist has been done before and better (Identity) but it will surprise you because of the manner in which the story is told; that's Carpenter's genius. Many Carpenter fans would say this is his worse film but in my opinion that's not true at all. Remember, this is a studio film with everything that comes with that and Carpenter's flair still shines through. The Ward is definitely worth a look. You will have a good time and be pleasantly surprised.
