It was very interesting to watch, the wife sacrifice to gain success was predictable but still an entertaining film to watch

It was alright. The cast and overall production were excellent. The story was just very predictable and felt lackluster in the end.

I agree with the 3.5 if that were possible. It’s good. It’s certainly no Exorcist (genre) or When Evil Lurks (timeliness). If you enjoy watching Sarah Paulson as Billie Dean Howard or Sarah Paulson playing old Lana Winters giving an interview, definitely watch this. It has the vibe of all of those scenes. I would put it in the same caliber as Ghostwatch (1992) with better acting but much less shock factor.

Analog horror for the digital big screen. The production and cinematography were excellent, and the story was well paced and bolstered by decent performances. The tricks of the demon were a bit cheesy, but otherwise an excellent film.
