they scream the whole time annoying
Not for slasher lovers. This is my absolute favorite movie. The first 30 makes you think one thing and the rest makes you feel.
While the first 30 minutes were almost unbearably cheesy, the rest of the film has so much heart and is so damn funny, that it was worth the wait!
I cannot emphasize enough that you MUST stick this movie through to the end. It is a phenomenal payoff. Not scary, but absolutely loved it!!!
Do NOT believe the hype. It's a creative and funny movie, yes, but it isn't a horror movie. [NO SPOILERS] The first thirty had me thinking "This is garbage, why am I watching this?" After that, there is a shift in the narrative that makes the movie more entertaining. The problem is that this "shift" is away from any semblance of horror or tension and into straight comedy. No, not horror-comedy. Just comedy ABOUT horror. That's all I can say without spoiling it. So I guess it belongs here on Shudder but if you're wanting to watch something akin to Tucker and Dale vs. Evil then keep on scrolling. This ain't it.
