I watched this because Joe Bob Briggs played a different Alex de la Iglesia movie on The Last Drive-In, The Day of the Beast, and it was so much fun. this isn't quite as weird, but it does remind me of Natural Born Killers or Devil's Rejects with some Santeria to spice things up and Perdita Durango was MUCH better than the third Alex de la Iglesia film I've seen, The Oxford Murders, which had some alright moments but spent most of it's time climbing up it's own ass
Tarantino borrowed from spaghetti westerns, so they borrowed from him. Rosie Fucking Perez.
Not exactly a horror move more of a wacky crazy film with that Repo Man + Wild at Heart vibe. Honestly it's just bat shit crazy fun film.
I really wanted to like this more.
Javier Bardem is creepily mesmerizing in this. Hell of an actor. Good violent film. I recommend this for those who are fans of A Clockwork Orange and weird/odd cinema in general.
