Reminds me of something along the lines of "The Lord Of The Flies" and or an even more terrifying "The Sailor Who fell With Grace From The Sea"... The only difference is you don't really see this coming quite as obviously as it builds much slower. Undecided if I Like the sudden insertion of a surreal image for one shot... or if it is brilliance!
We play make believe, / then the "play" ends, then the "make," / and we fear "believe."
Fun film. Very...very slow with little to no real "horrors" within it, but well done. If you liked this, seek out Valerie and Her Week of Wonders (1970). Another fantastic watch.
such a beautiful movie, amazing colors and composition. it feels like fairytale without anything extravagant. veronica is such a good character.
I honestly didn’t expect to but I thoroughly enjoyed this one.
