This was definitely slow in some parts but the ending made it totally worth it. As someone who's dealt with some toxic friendships in my day, it definitely made me Squamish.
To be honest, I've never made it through the movie. . . I'm just tired of Shudder spamming it on the Slashics streaming channel. Shudder has a good array of actual slasher classics that keep being overlooked so these types of films, which I never made it through because I found it boring, can happen. Well like 'fetch,' it ain't gonna happen!
When that toxic friend of yours gets into wicca. A slow burn for sure. More gothic than straight up horror, but it's a unique approach to a witch narrative by exploring toxic girlhood and friendship. How the idea of witchcraft, meant to empower women and girls, can be used as a form of control.
nicely done. some interesting social themes. great characters!
Psychological horror of two little girls' abusive friendship. Brought back some memories of where I grew up! Love the scenery, and their acting is stellar!
