In David Cronenberg’s must-see cult favorite, a woman named Rose (porn star Marilyn Chambers) develops a thirst for blood after receiving experimental surgery. When Rose wakes up, she finds a stinger under her armpit which she uses to feed off victims, who later turn rabid and attack others. RABID is body horror as only Cronenberg can do, with sex and death inextricably linked thanks to Rose’s phallic parasite. Chambers gamely made the leap to “respectable” films, and die-hard disco fans may recognize her bizarro single “Benihana” playing over one particularly nasty attack. Contains strong language, violence and gore.

Another old stinker
only watched this for the freezer scene
Rabid was a horror movie i believe in the 80's. . . Back then, it was real scary!!! Right up there with Emily Rose and "I never promised you a rose garden, and Demons. Excellent work for the times, & to re-see ut was amazingly interesting, thank you, Shudder!!!
The monster (if you can call it that) was a weird concept and defiantly took some guts to put out there. This feels more like a concept then a fully fleshed out movie. But the 70's was cursed when it came to decent films. Aside from a hand fully of some of the best movies ever, the 70's was a long desolate road of very bad media.
