Directed by Paco Plaza, Jaume Balagueró
A beautiful TV reporter (Manuela Velasco) and her cameraman are doing a routine interview at a local fire station when an emergency call comes in. Accompanying the firefighters to a nearby apartment, the news team begins recording the bloodcurdling screams from inside an elderly woman's unit. After authorities seal off the building to contain the threat, the news crew, firefighters and residents are trapped to face a lethal terror inside. With the camera running, nothing may survive but the film itself.
A young TV reporter and her cameraman witness true terror inside a quarantined building in this Spanish horror essential.
Cast: Manuela Velasco, Martha Carbonell, Jorge-Yamam Serrano, Ferran Terraza, Vicente Gil
An absolute classic with a terrifying premise and ties to the occult that make it all the more haunting. The atmosphere in this horror is pure dread, tension leads up to few effective scares, the cam-quality is authentic as opposed to most found footage horror films - fake glitches *eye roll* and the creature at the end is nightmare-inducing. The Spanish movie that inspired the half-assed insulting American remake Quarantine will never be topped by an American remake.
one of my favorites, very realistic with the handheld fottage style
Too chaotic for my likely.....it gave me a headache
This is one of my favourite horror movies/franchise. Scary, great story & acting. Highly recommended
Good movie, it is chaotic and sometimes hard to follow but not bad, I do prefer Rec 2 better
