Existenz + Under the Skin - any depth = this. Silly thing this is.

I think this movie thinks it is a lot smarter than it is. Our lead actress is annoyingly charming, and really gives off manic pixie dream girl vibes. Take that as you will. Our main actor however isn’t really dynamic or interesting enough to be likable. The story is paper thin and doesn’t bother to make much sense or explain itself. They did do some cool things visually, and made the most out of some decent practical effects.

Low budget, makes little sense, not fun or interesting

The story is a bit thin, but I loved the two lead roles, and the film has a low-budget charm to it.

I wanted to like it but couldn't really. Felt too heavily inspired by Videodrome and included some (spoiler alert) messy time travel that I struggled to get past.
