Not bad, but not great, either.

This movie is fun but a bit sloppy in some of its story telling. Toni Basil turns up and is a delight as always.

A silly flick that was probably cool back in 1987. It's got the '80s fashion, music from Devo, and a role from Toni Basill. The dialogue is not very good, and the lead, Nicholas Celozzi, is not charismatic (but he's nice to look at). The strongest acting is probably from the lead's older brother (Tom Reilly) and from Toni Basill, who exudes tough and charm. The producers went overboard with the comedy. I don't think the film was meant to be a comedy-horror, so the jokes seem forced into the wrong genre: when a particular scene is doing well with with an eerie, frightening tone, a lame joke is injected, breaking the suspense. Overall, this flick is kinda sorta fun and entertaining. 2 1/2 skulls.

Disappointed, first time viewing the movie, seen it as a child at the rental store all the time. Acting was too dry/sarcastic/disingenuous non-authentic which tanked the film. The movie was too long with no scenes nor acting for a redemption. I wanted to so bad like this film but unfortunately. Hey it was in the 80's! So that's cool.
