This was a fun addition to the Lovecraft family of films.
Exactly what Pompey's said. . .
With a bit different casting choices and some tweaks to the cinematography, could have easily been a great film. Otherwise, just okay. The gore is on point though I just say.
Best Lovecraft movie adaptation ever
A fun, campy love letter to 80's flicks and a good addition to the Lovecraftian library. Suffers from some poor cinematography and some clunky pacing/writing, the special effects are very much in keeping with the style of the film and it's origins, doesn't need to be fancy and the gore is well executed (pun intended). Graham and Crampton were great and just wish they had more scenes together. Overall a very fun film well realised that could've done with some tighter post/editing, but if you're a genre fan you're going to have a lot of fun with this! Hope they all work together on more projects.
