Not the horror i signed up for on Shudder, More Lifetime movie about trauma and getting through it. Not taking anything away from people who like this but i come for Slashers and monsters not Real life Drama.
Without that pushpin my mind was going in a completely different direction.
wasn't sure if I was going to like this, but it drew me in. Very sad tale of a young confused, newly married woman, dealing with demons and a new mental disorder. dark drama.
Phenomenal. Incredible acting by Bennett. A quiet horror of brilliant revenge.
while Swallow is overall a drama and not horror, it is an EXCELLENT film, and there are a lot of horror writers and directors who could learn from the tension and psychological horror elements in this film. Are they strong enough to "justify" it being on Shudder? I don't know. I'm not sure how I feel about non-horror movies being on here, but this sure isn't one I'm going to complain about.
